Chapter 12. Monitoring the JBoss Application Server Instance

Basic information is provided on every resource managed by the Admin Console via the resources Summary tab. However some resources such as the JBoss Application Server instance itself, also offer more detailed metrics. See below for an example:

This metrics are collected from the resource when the Metrics tab is viewed and can be recalculated by hitting the REFRESH button at the bottom main panel.

Note

In order to see JVM resources and metrics, the JBoss Application Server instance must be started with the -Djboss.platform.mbeanserver system property specified as part of JAVA_OPTS.
