We welcome Denis Krusto from 2012 GSoC. He is tasked with upgrading our aging graphing technology to a more modern charting package with advanced capabilities. After a package selection process we have decided upon the d3.js charting package. D3 provides a declarative javascript markup for defining graphs. More than just a charting API, D3 provides a jQuery-like syntax for manipulating the DOM and going beyond what ordinary charting APIs can achieve. Since d3 is a javascript library a GWT JSNI wrapper is required to make it usable from JON/RHQ smartGWT code.
