Discipline: Service-Oriented Analysis
The tasks in this discipline are concerned with identifying and modeling "service candidates" discovered by analyzing the target business processes.
Relationships
Main Description

The analysis performed in this task determines what services are to be built and determines the logic that should be encapsulated by each service.

This task can begin before the completion of business analysis if the organization feels that it has enough information to begin to identify service candidates with an acceptable level of risk.

The input to this task is the set of business process models that were developed in earlier tasks and iterations. If new processes or services were identified in ongoing, parallel analysis iterations, the new or revised business processes are also input to this task.

Service candidates are identified during this task.
